We regularly report on the containers we send to Benin in this newsletter. In 2021, there were 6 in total. This year, 4 of them have already left for the port of Cotonou, then by road to Parakou, where the Foundation's offices are located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these containers, we send things that we buy ourselves for our projects, but mainly materials that our many donors give us. Of course, we always check first with our team and our partners in Benin what they need and how we can meet their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Partenamut, the Red Cross, ZNA Middelheim, AZ Jan Portaels, several physiotherapists, Liantis, Goed! and Odisee, we were able to send Benin almost 100 baby scales, a dozen treatment and examination tables, one surgical microscope, three ultrasound machines, a biofeedback system and all sorts of other surgical and gynaecological equipment. The solar panel system for the Boko hospital, donated by Energy Assistance, also left by container recently. In February, almost 45,000 school books donated by Plantyn left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Wereld<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sending all this valuable material would not be possible without Wereld Missie Hulp<\/strong>, one of our most important partners. For many years we have counted on their financial and logistical support<\/strong>. Thanks to their project operation, we always recover a considerable part of the shipping costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The support we receive through their humanitarian shipping service is crucial for us. We deliver the material to their headquarters in Boechout. From then on, Wereld Missie Hulp takes care of everything: booking the containers on the ships, transporting the containers from the port of Antwerp to their headquarters in Boechout and back, packing the material if necessary, loading the containers, complex customs formalities and sending all the required documents to the forwarder in Benin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the process, there are sometimes setbacks: goods delivered at the last minute that absolutely must go, missing documents, etc. Even in these circumstances, the staff at Wereld Missie Hulp keep a cool head and keep looking until they find a solution. We want to take this opportunity to thank the entire Wereld Missie Hulp team for their pleasant and professional cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we would also like to mention the logistics <\/strong>of \"GOED Thuiszorgwinkel<\/strong>\" explicitly. Despite their busy schedule, they always manage to collect and deliver the donated material to Wereld Missie Hulp within a briefe period, all over Flanders. \"Trium<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

TRIUM Clinical Consulting<\/strong> and QbD <\/strong>are organising activities throughout the year for the benefit of our Foundation. A major sporting activity in June and July raised a considerable amount, which will be used to equip the medical centre in Kassouala. No fewer than 33 teams from around the world registered for the international sports challenge in honour of the 10th anniversary of TRIUM and QbD. Each team had to cycle 120km, run 60km and walk 30km every week. Through Strava, they registered their activities and were able to follow the performance of the other teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closer to home and on a slightly smaller scale, two colleagues competed against each other in a race around the town of Lier. The other colleagues could bet on their favourite athlete. The proceeds of this race also went towards funding the medical centre in Kassouala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other activities, including a pop-up shop with second-hand clothes, are still ongoing. We will keep you informed. And of course, many thanks to TRIUM Clinical Consulting and QbD .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRIUM Clinical Consulting and the Quality by Design (QbD) group celebrate their 10th anniversary in a very original way. From 14 June to 11 July, all their employees around the world will be given a number of sporting challenges every week. And the proceeds of the campaign will go entirely to furnishing the medical centre in Kassouala in Benin!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company TRIUM Clinical Consulting<\/strong>, together with the Quality by Design (QbD) group<\/strong> to which it belongs, are organising fundraising activities throughout the year 2021 to benefit our Foundation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRIUM Clinical Consulting is specialised in clinical solutions for the medical and biotech sector. A Belgian company offering CRO services, consultancy, clinical quality services and training worldwide. The QbD group specialises in consultancy aimed at supporting companies in bringing their products or therapies to market qualitatively and safely. Clients can turn to TRIUM and QbD for guidance on the entire lifecycle of their products, from R&D to distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission statement of TRIUM Clinical Consulting explicitly states that it wants to establish a partnership with its collaborators and clients. But together with the forty colleagues of TRIUM and the three hundred employees of QbD, they also want to invest in sustainable development projects in the medical sector. And to realise that goal, they found the ideal partner in the Hubi & Vinciane Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fundraising<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A first activity<\/strong> has already raised a nice amount that will be used to buy medical equipment for the hospitals<\/a> Saint-Martin in Papan\u00e9 and Saint-Jean-de-Dieu in Boko. We would like to mention Bakkerij Laenen in Olen, 4Bikes in Westerlo, WestFit Multisport Academy, Creanina, Schoenmaker Lier, Studio Mira and Kat Wouters <\/strong>that sponsored this activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second activity <\/strong>will take place from 14 June to 11 July. All employees worldwide (Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico and Columbia) will be challenged every week. All proceeds from this activity will go towards equipping the medical centre in Kassouala. TRIUM and the QbD Group wish to contribute by raising funds for the purchase of one or more examination tables and lamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other fundraising activities are still being developed. The obligation to work from home forces us to be more creative, but fortunately for TRIUM this is not a problem. From a 'remote' raffle to a real radio show, everything is done to raise money. And as soon as the employees are allowed to return to the office, one of their enthusiastic colleagues is ready to make soup for the good cause. The sporty colleagues have already registered - well in time - for the 'A leg up for Benin' campaign in December 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRIUM not only wants to support financially, but also in terms of material supply. Together with QbD, they have already collected several solid and even brand new ICT and medical equipment for the two hospitals. And the year is not even halfway over..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are obviously very pleased with this initiative and hope to continue our partnership in the future!

Throughout the year, TRIUM Clinical Consulting and QbD organise activities to benefit our Foundation. In the previous newsletter, we informed you that a large-scale sports event involving no less than 33 teams from all over the world and a few smaller events near you have already raised a considerable amount of money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these proceeds, we bought a gynaecological delivery table<\/strong> for the medical centre in Kassouala and a sophisticated examination table with lamp<\/strong> for the Saint-Martin hospital in Papan\u00e9. Both tables have now arrived in Benin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other activities are still underway. A second-hand clothes shop was set up and colleagues organised a tombola. On the culinary side, colleagues Jan and Anneleen competed in a real \"mattentaarten\" cooking competition. Colleagues could place bets on who could make the most original 'mattentaart'. Another quieter culinary initiative was the monthly 'charity' lunches organised by a Thai colleague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    And now, in the run-up to Christmas, colleagues can buy biscuits, banana chips, syrup and honey from Benin at the Christmas market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
