The appearance of a diet depends on maintenance, water and nutrient inputs. Thus the diets differ in weight and number of hands from one banana tree to another. At harvest, they are weighed and their hands counted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"234\" height=\"303\" src=\"https:\/\/hubi-vinciane.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/20190901_bananenoogst_03_web.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hubi-vinciane.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/20190901_bananenoogst_03_web.jpg 234w, https:\/\/hubi-vinciane.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/20190901_bananenoogst_03_web-232x300.jpg 232w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The results showed that on average the first crop bunches weighed 19 kg and had 11 hands. Total production was 7.99 tonnes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost all of the crops were consumed within households. As a result, the quality of their diet began to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second phase, which has just been launched, will further improve the quality of food in households as well as in schools, where banana tasting campaigns are organized for schoolchildren and their teachers. This action helps to give children a greater taste for banana consumption, and they can ask their parents for bananas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In March 2018, 504 banana shoots were donated to 179 people;
