Born on July 18, 1992, my name is OROU BOUM Awaou. I hold a state diploma in social assistance since 2015. In June 2019, I was recruited by the Hubi & Vinciane Foundation as a nutrition facilitator on the project to fight against acute malnutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am in charge of 4 villages in the commune of N’Dali in which I implement various activities aimed at promoting good health and proper nutrition for children under 5 years old, breastfeeding women and pregnant women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My working days are characterized by various activities such as the animation of awareness sessions or screening for acute malnutrition or home visits etc. From the second week of February 2020, the screening campaign for acute malnutrition started to last four weeks. Through this article, I wanted to describe one of my working days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday 18\/02\/2020, I woke up at 6am after cleaning the room. I prepared breakfast for my children. Then I got my children ready for school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 7:30, I dropped them off at their school, which is far from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 7:45, I set off for the field. That day I had to continue the screening in the village of Tourn\u00e9, which is located not far from the hospital of BOKO.<\/p>\n\n\n

At 08:00, I arrived in the village where I went to the community relay house. I had to wait for 15 minutes while the relay was getting ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So at 08:22, we hit the road for the door-to-door screening. Throughout the day, we visited 43 households and screened 86 children aged 0.5 to 5 years. 84 of these children have a good nutritional status, and 2 are moderately malnourished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This day ended at 7:05 pm, and we returned to the relay for the deposit of the material. I left for home at 7:20 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With my profile as a social worker, I feel delighted to contribute my skills and experience to the health and nutritional well-being of the population at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
