Cette organisation se fait dans sa d\u00e9marche de lutte contre la malnutrition chez le couple m\u00e8re-enfant et afin de statuer sur l\u2019\u00e9tat nutritionnel des diff\u00e9rents cibles, en particulier celui des enfants de moins de 5 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cet effet, elle a d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 dans les communaut\u00e9s des animateurs pour d\u00e9pister tous les enfants de 0,5 \u00e0 5 ans par la strat\u00e9gie de porte-\u00e0-porte. Ce d\u00e9pistage consiste \u00e0 prendre les mesures anthropom\u00e9triques (poids et taille) de tous les enfants qui se situent dans la tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge indiqu\u00e9e. Parmi les 12.000 enfants d\u00e9pist\u00e9s, plus de 1.400 enfants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 diagnostiqu\u00e9s malnutris aigus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les enfants malnutris aigus sont r\u00e9partis en fonction de la s\u00e9v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de leur \u00e9tat. Ainsi, trois cat\u00e9gories d\u2019enfants malnutris aigus sont identifi\u00e9es, \u00e0 savoir&nbsp;: les cas mod\u00e9r\u00e9s, les cas s\u00e9v\u00e8res sans complications et les cas s\u00e9v\u00e8res avec complications. Cette r\u00e9partition constitue la ligne directrice pour l\u2019orientation de la prise en charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celle des formes s\u00e9v\u00e8res de la malnutrition aigu\u00eb est assur\u00e9e par le syst\u00e8me sanitaire. Les formes mod\u00e9r\u00e9es qui sont les plus nombreuses, font moins l\u2019objet d\u2019une urgence sanitaire ce qui augmente le risque permanant de complications. Face \u00e0 cela, la Fondation a pris l\u2019option de la prise en charge pr\u00e9coce de la malnutrition aigu\u00eb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ainsi tous les enfants malnutris aigus mod\u00e9r\u00e9s d\u00e9pist\u00e9s sont syst\u00e9matiquement pris en charge \u00e0 travers des Foyers d\u2019Apprentissage de R\u00e9cup\u00e9ration Nutritionnelle (FARN).
