Cassava: A Win-Win for Food Security and the Environment

This year, we have actively supported the production of quality cassava cuttings.

Cassava is an excellent crop: it contributes to food security, and protects the soil and the environment. In 2024, we distributed as many as 50,000 certified cassava cuttings, which were then multiplied by the farmers.

Before distributing the cuttings, our on-site agronomists provided training on the best ways to cultivate cassava. They also continue to guide the farmers at every stage of the cultivation process.

Cassava is a sustainable and versatile crop. It also plays a vital role in improving soil fertility. The leaves and stems add organic matter to the soil, while the deep roots help improve soil structure, resulting in better water infiltration and aeration.

By cultivating cassava, farmers become less dependent on chemical inputs, which lowers their costs and increases their income. This is an essential step in making local communities more resilient.

By supporting cassava cultivation, we contribute both to food security and environmental protection. Our goal is to enable economically viable and environmentally friendly agriculture.
