Drinking Water: A Lifeline for Health Centers!

Access to drinking water is essential, especially in health centres. Every drop counts. Unfortunately, many centres in rural Benin still lack potable water.

As a Foundation, we aim to change this. In 2024, we installed solar-powered water wells in the health centers of the four villages of Yambouan, Kori, Ouénou, and Tekparou.

The medical staff and patients at these four centres now have full access to clean drinking water. Previously, they relied on contaminated water, which posed significant health risks.

Since the wells were put into operation, the quality of care has dramatically improved. Caregivers can now entirely focus on their primary task: healing people and saving lives. They no longer need to search for clean water.

The health centres benefit and the surrounding residents also use the wells. The proximity of clean drinking water has significantly improved their living conditions and health. Investing in drinking water for rural health centres is not just about health but also about social justice.

Through these projects, we help local communities build a better future where everyone, no matter where they are, has access to the resources needed to live a healthy life.

These kinds of initiatives strengthen the health systems and the trust and hope within communities.
