New Restroom Blocks for Better School Hygiene

After providing trash bins and tippy-taps to forty schools, the Foundation has taken another big step: building brand-new restroom blocks.

Six elementary schools in Tchaourou and N’Dali, where the need for proper sanitation was most urgent, finally got a much-needed upgrade.

The schools in Komiguéa, Woasson, Tamarou, Kakara, Dourbé, and Kaki-Koka now each have their own clean, functional toilets. And they were long overdue.

Before, teachers and children had to go out into the bush. Unsafe and undignified” says the principal of Woasson. Tamarou faces the same issue: their toilets dated back to the 1980s and were completely unusable.

Our efforts are making a difference, but the challenge remains huge. More than a hundred partner schools are still struggling with dire sanitation problems.

A safe, hygienic learning environment isn’t a luxury.
It’s a basic right for every child and every teacher.

Together, we can make it happen!

That’s how it is now !
