At the end of 2025, our Foundation, with the support of ACMA3, launched an ambitious new project focused on quail farming and the consumption of quail eggs. The project is being implemented in the municipalities of Djougou (Donga) and N’Dali (Borgou) and aims to sustainably strengthen the local agricultural sector.
ACMA3 refers to the third phase of the Approche Communale au Marché Agricole (Communal Approach to Agricultural Markets), a program funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Benin.

Women as Drivers of Change
As part of the project, we established several training centres, with a strong focus on women. They play a key role in local agriculture and the rural economy.
Through these trainings, women are expanding their skills, improving production, and increasing their incomes. At the same time, they contribute to healthier nutrition within their communities. A portion of the eggs produced is supplied directly to school cafeterias.

Identifying the Best Farming Methods
In addition to training, we are conducting research on different breeding and farming methods to determine which approach works best under local climate conditions.
This ensures that quail farming is not only productive today, but also sustainable and profitable in the long term.
Building on Earlier Successes
This new initiative builds on previous projects in the Collines and Borgou regions. In those areas, twelve farmers received a total of 180 breeding birds.
Since then, they have passed on new breeding birds to 33 additional farmers in Bembèrèkè, Tchaourou, Dassa, and Glazoué. These farmers are now continuing the cycle by distributing breeding birds within their own networks.
The Communal Poultry Associations (ACA) closely monitor the process to ensure that all agreements are respected.
Creating a Sustainable Future Together
Step by step, a sustainable, independent, and community-based business model is taking shape. By sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and embedding the project locally, we are strengthening its long-term impact across the municipalities involved.
Together with our partners, we are building a strong, forward-looking poultry sector that creates opportunities for families, schools, and entire communities.
