Water Given, Lives Saved

Papané Hospital Public Primary School is located 1km from Papané Hospital and is one of our 21 partner schools in the commune of Tchaourou.

To get water, both the students of this school and the surrounding population went to the Papané hospital compound and had to cross the main road. It is in search of water, which is the source of life, as they say, that unfortunately some of these students lost their lives.

Water helpt levens redden

The presence of local authorities such as the King of Papané and his notables, the first deputy mayor of Tchaourou, representing the prevented mayor, and the population massively leaving with the jerry cans to fetch water testifies to the importance and value of this action.

The presence of water in this school will not only allow easy and permanent access to drinking water but will also facilitate the management of the school garden and banana plants. This vegetable garden provides students with fresh vegetables and fruit daily, which is conducive to their health and success.

The availability of this water facilitates activities not only in the school but also within the population, which can now develop income-generating activities and thus improve living conditions.

While it is true that the Foundation has given access to water free of charge, the maintenance of this work to ensure its sustainability is the responsibility of the school. It is for this reason that a flat-rate contribution of 25 FCFA (about 4 cents) is requested from the users of this water point per 5OL can of water.

Long live water at the public primary school in Papané.
Long live the fight against malnutrition.
Long live the Hubi and Vinciane Foundation.
