Supporting Women’s Cooperatives

In rural areas, women play a vital role in developing their communities. By working together in cooperatives, they can make better and more efficient use of limited technical and financial resources. This improves their working conditions and boosts productivity, profitability, and economic independence.

This is why the Hubi and Vinciane Foundation encourages and supports women in forming cooperatives, helping them build a brighter future.

By supporting women who want to unite in cooperatives, we contribute to their economic empowerment.

At the start of each new project, we select a group of around fifteen women and two men from the village. Together, they take responsibility for the project, with guidance and support from our local staff. The assistance is tailored to the specific needs of the project and includes:

  • Advice and Guidance: Our agricultural experts help optimize sustainable farming practices and improve harvests during both rainy and dry seasons.
  • Starter Materials: We provide seeds and plants, and teach participants how to cultivate various fruits and vegetables for a more diverse and nutritious diet.
  • Water Management: We install irrigation systems and solar-powered water reservoirs, ensuring year-round planting and harvesting capabilities.

The cooperatives we have supported for several years in Tchaourou and N’dali demonstrate the success of our approach. Members harvest enough for their families and earn a stable income by selling surplus produce. Their economic independence is assured.

We aim to expand this cooperative model to other villages, allowing more to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
